Our goal is to transform our community by providing a safe and supportive space where children can develop into the leaders of tomorrow. Urban families face unique challenges that are magnified in difficult economic times. Founded in 1996, Just One Soccer League (JOSL) is a recreational sport league providing a low cost option where community, friendship, togetherness, teamwork, and respect become powerful tools toward avoiding the challenges facing our community. Just One Neighborhood Program (JONP) supports our children by providing a safe environment that instills a sense of self, of belonging, where quality relationships instill pride and increase their capacity to succeed. The 2015 season extends from April thru June and welcomes almost 700 children from the greater Newark area in 56 teams including ages 4 thru 16. Volunteer coaches provide 2 practices a week with games every Thursday evening and all day on Saturday. All coaches maintain a minimum  “F” license through the New Jersey Youth Soccer Association. JOSL is proud to annually host an “F” License Certification Course attended by coaches from across North Jersey.
